* A Fixed-Term, Full-Time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service until 30th June 2027
* VPS Grade 4: $97,955 - $111,142 plus superannuation.
About the Business Unit:
Victim Services, Support and Reform (VSSR) is part of the Police, Racing, Victims and Coordination Group within the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS).

VSSR is responsible for the delivery and reform of services to victims of crime, placing victims at the centre of our justice system, as well as direct service provision through a range of programs including the Victims of Crime Helpline, Victims Register and the Victims Assistance Program.
The National Redress Scheme Operations Team sits within the VSSR branch and is the central coordination point for the Victorian Government's participation in the National Redress Scheme for people who have experienced Institutional Child Sexual Abuse (National Redress Scheme).
The National Redress Scheme:
* acknowledges that many children were sexually abused in Australian institutions
* holds institutions accountable for this abuse, and
* helps people who have experienced institutional child sexual abuse gain access to counselling, a direct personal response, and a Redress payment.
About the Role:
The Project Officer will work collaboratively with stakeholders within the Victorian and Commonwealth Governments focussing on the participation of the Victorian Government in the National Redress Scheme.
Some of your duties will include:
* Supporting the coordination of the Victorian Government's participation in the National Redress Scheme through undertaking key operational processes and contributing to their continuous improvement - opperational processes include reading applications for redress and allocating the applications to the responsible institution, completing templates for information requests, proactively monitoring applications received, reviewing responses, updating databases to track information, reporting and analysing data
* Providing project management capability to assist in whole of Victorian government coordination of the National Redress Scheme, including secretariat services for committees and working groups
* Preparing advice and analysis on matters to influence decisions of relevant governance bodies, including interdepartmental and interjurisdictional committees and working groups.

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
* Proven analytical skills with a strong focus on attention to detail
* Demonstrated organisational and project management skills
* Demonstrated capability to provide secretariat support
* Valuable working knowledge and experience in using Microsoft excel.
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Experience and/or a tertiary qualification in a relevant field is desirable.
