A place to make a difference: In this full‐time, maximum term position (through to June 2027, with potential for extension) based in our Kununurra office, you'll support a local team to accomplish ambitious goals for our children, youth and families. The Team Leader – Youth Services provides operational leadership and coordination across our Youth Justice programs, the Youth Hub, and Night Patrol services in Kununurra. The role ensures culturally safe, trauma‐informed, and community‐led responses to vulnerable young people, particularly Aboriginal youth, with a strong focus on prevention, safety, and positive engagement. You'll report to the Regional Manager.
Responsibilities
* Leading and developing a dedicated, values‐driven team
* Building relationships with partner community organisations, service providers and within the broader community
* Represent Youth Services at community meetings, interagency forums, and case conferences
* Support community‐led solutions and incorporate cultural guidance into service delivery
* Advocate for young people and families in a respectful, strengths‐based manner
Qualifications
* Proven leadership skills and the ability to nurture a cohesive team
* Ability to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate activities
* Experience in case management and working with young people
* Ability to manage competing priorities and complex scenarios
* Current valid driver's licence
* Relevant degree qualifications in youth work, social work, social science, education, psychology (highly desirable)
