Join Our Team – Casual Disability Support Coaches
Wallara is currently recruiting casual Disability Support Coaches across two divisions: Learning & Lifestyle and Live. We operate across multiple locations in Melbourne’s South East, including Casey, Dandenong, and the Frankston area. Applicants will be considered for one division only, based on experience, and service needs. Please include in your cover letter which division you are interested in.
Divisions
Learning & Lifestyle
Our programs run Monday to Friday, with shifts typically between 8:45am - 3:15pm. As a Disability Support Coach, you’ll help clients engage in a wide range of programs, such as art, music, swimming, media, hospitality, sport, social events and more. We’re especially keen to hear from people with skills in media, hospitality, woodwork, or gardening, who can help clients learn, grow, and explore new interests.
Live
In our Live division, you’ll support residents to live independently and confidently in their homes, travel to work, engage in the community, and enjoy recreation activities of their choice. Please note: Live roles include morning, afternoon, weekend, overnight (sleepover), and public holiday shifts. Availability across these times is essential to be considered.
What you\'ll need to succeed
- Demonstrated knowledge or experience working within the disability sector and supporting clients with varying support needs and goals
- A passion for supporting people with disabilities to achieve the best they can – bring your special talents to their experience!
- Excellent communication skills; ability to prevent and resolve issues and to build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders
- Ability to advocate and promote community inclusion and person centred support that exceeds standards and is delivered within the available resources – be creative!
- Excellent administration, written communication skills and computer literacy in order to complete appropriate documentation
- Resourceful and innovative approach to creating opportunities for those we support – make social change happen
- Experience in delivering on individualised plans
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to think laterally
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Commitment to exceptional service delivery and a demonstrated professional approach to work
- Commitment to the principles of WHS, EEO, Cultural Diversity and all relevant legislation
- Certificate III or IV in Disability is highly desirable.

- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Certificate in First Aid Level 2 + CPR.
