Corporate Issues Support Officer
Location: East Perth, Western Australia.
Type: Permanent, Full Time. Salary: $99,674 – $111,044 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
About the role
Provide administrative and coordination support within the Corporate Issues function, focusing on managing Ministerial, Freedom of Information (FOI) and Director General correspondence. Assist with preparation, tracking, and reporting of documentation through the Corporate and Ministerial System (CAMS), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Government requirements. Coordinate input across divisions, support high‐quality ministerial, FOI, and Director General correspondence, reports, and briefings, and maintain effective communication with stakeholders and Ministerial Offices.
Key responsibilities
* Support preparation, tracking, and reporting of documentation via CAMS.
* Coordinate information flow across divisions and prepare ministerial, FOI, and Director General correspondence, reports, and briefings.
* Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders and Ministerial Offices.
* Draft, analyse, proofread correspondence and reports to a high standard.
* Use ministerial workflow and document management systems (Microsoft Power Apps, Objective).
* Apply knowledge of Government, Parliamentary, and Legislative processes and the Freedom of Information Act.
* Provide responsive, high‐quality customer service and liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
* Apply analytical and problem‐solving skills, exercise sound judgement, and manage competing priorities in a fast‐paced environment.
Qualifications & experience
* Well‐developed written communication skills, with proven ability to collate, analyse information, draft correspondence, prepare reports, and proofread work.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps (or similar ministerial workflow system) and Objective (or similar document management system).
* Knowledge of Government, Parliamentary and Legislative processes and the Freedom of Information Act.
* Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills, able to liaise effectively at senior management level.
* Analytical and problem‐solving skills, able to exercise judgement within established guidelines.
