About The Role
The role involves leading the Technical Records function to ensure safety, compliance, and operational excellence. This includes overseeing policies, procedures, and processes for managing McDermott Aviation's technical assets, facilitating aircraft airworthiness and servicing management for the fleet.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of aircraft records and maintenance information.
2. Maintain an efficient Technical Records system for searching and retrieving aircraft records.
3. Oversee the upkeep of maintenance information databases and tracking systems.
4. Ensure compliance of aircraft records with CASA/FAA regulations and company requirements.
5. Track and resolve discrepancies in aircraft maintenance records and work packages.
6. Audit physical and electronic aircraft and engine records periodically for accuracy.
7. Record all scheduled maintenance, Airworthiness Directives (AD), and Service Bulletins (SB) in relevant logbooks.
8. Develop and implement new processes or improve existing ones for efficiency.
9. Utilize Aeronet for maintenance planning, scheduling, and parts processing.
10. Assist in managing continued airworthiness instructions, logbooks, and the technical library.
11. Process completed work packs and aircraft defects in Aeronet.
12. Prepare maintenance release documentation for certification by licensed engineers.
13. Ensure accurate completion and documentation of maintenance paperwork.
14. Maintain aircraft technical records and logbooks, including component history.
15. Audit work packages to confirm maintenance requirements are met.
16. Manage aircraft record filing systems for proper retention and archiving.
17. Monitor and validate aircraft hours, cycles, and scheduling data.
18. Secure and maintain aircraft and component records.
19. Support the Chief Engineer with logbooks, work packages, and modifications.
20. Assist Maintenance Directors with fleet planning and reporting.
21. Review and update maintenance programs and lists to ensure effectiveness.
22. Plan and manage maintenance activities delegated by the HAAMC.
23. Monitor aircraft reliability to ensure safety and reliability standards are met.
Experience
1. Experience working with OEMs and vendors.
2. Experience with Aeronet or similar maintenance tracking software.
3. Interest in the aviation industry.
4. Practical mechanical skills and familiarity with technical documentation.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Initiative and responsibility.
7. Proficiency with computer skills.
8. Good communication skills, both technical and workplace.
