Step into an exciting opportunity as a Senior Construction Engineer with SYNERGY CONSTRUCT. This role places you at the center of high‑rise commercial construction projects, overseeing complex builds from pre‑construction through to completion.
The role is available from February 2026, with flexibility for the right candidate.
You’ll support the Project Manager to deliver projects efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality, while developing your leadership skills and contributing to landmark developments. Your Contribution
In this role, you’ll apply your construction expertise, project management skills, and experience in construction sequencing to drive the successful execution of commercial projects. You will:
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects from pre‑construction through to completion.
- Develop and monitor project programs and productivity to ensure objectives are met.
- Communicate, monitor, and coordinate subcontractor activities, identifying risks early, and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Develop, implement, and review the Project Quality Plan to meet contract requirements.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery and optimise overall outcomes.
- Lead and mentor your team, fostering engagement, trust, and a positive, high‑performing team culture.
- Promote and actively contribute to a proactive site safety culture, ensuring all safety requirements are met.
- Drive continuous improvement in construction processes, quality systems, and project delivery.
About You
This role could suit an experienced Construction Engineer or a Project Manager from a tier‑2 space looking to move into large‑scale commercial construction.
- A Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in commercial construction, preferably on complex projects.
- Experience in high‑rise construction is desirable.
- Strong planning, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, confidently liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work autonomously, adapt to changing priorities, and manage time effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership potential, with the ability to guide, mentor, and develop direct reports.
- A commitment to teamwork, valuing the "one team" approach.
