SQL Database Developer Sydney OR Melbourne 6-Month Contract $800-850 p/d The opportunity A leading Australia based consultancy are looking for 2 SQL Database developers to join an ongoing project. You'll be working directly within the client's technical team, owning database development and performance work across a SQL Server environment. Your day-to-day will include: Creating and enhancing stored procedure scripts Designing and implementing indexing strategies Identifying performance bottlenecks at the design stage and re-engineering where needed Resolving live performance issues and supporting ongoing improvements Additional database activities as prioritised and directed by the client team What you'll bring Solid hands-on experience with SQL Server 2019 or 2022 Practical experience with Azure SQL Managed Instance .NET experience in a database development context A contractor's mindset - autonomous, pragmatic, and delivery-focused Advantageous Flyway for database deployments Experience working in Azure-heavy environments
