The company seeks a Safety Manager to oversee the delivery of current and upcoming projects from start to finish.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Safety Manager reports to the Project Manager and Construction Manager and is responsible for advocating safe work practices, monitoring operations to eliminate hazards, and developing policies to promote occupational health and safety awareness.
DUTIES
* Maintain a safe workplace by identifying hazards and implementing control measures to reduce risks
* Establish and implement Project Risk Assessment & WHS plan
* Direct accident investigation procedures
* Keep records of safety‐related incidents and propose corrective actions
* Ensure the project team(s) are meeting their safety responsibilities outlined in the WHSMS
* Conduct weekly Toolbox Talks jointly with the Site Manager
* Review SWMS documents
* Provide training for the team on Hammertech software
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Proven experience in a safety role within building construction
* Formal qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety
* Site management experience/background is advantageous
* Excellent communication and advisory skills
* Diligent with an analytical mind
* Experience working with Hammertech
