Senior Geologist - Operations
We are seeking an experienced Senior Geologist to join our KCGM Underground Operations. This residential role is on an 8/6 roster working 11‐hour days.
What you can look forward to:
* Managing all drill data collection, validity, interpretation updates, QA/QC, determining mineralisation controls and modelling the geology to develop mineral resources.
* High‐level planning, including drill scheduling and collaboration with mine planning for development and stope designs.
* Providing leadership to ensure all geology and diamond drill personnel adhere to safety standards that exceed industry practice and applicable legislative provisions.
* Completing project work and presentations to a professional standard as required.
* Identifying, developing, and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.
Qualifications:
* A tertiary qualification in Geology.
* Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence (Manual).
Experience:
* Extensive experience as a geologist in the resource industry, preferably within an underground gold mining operation.
* Experience with mining and geology software packages such as Datamine and Leapfrog.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in sampling, Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC), block modelling, advanced grade estimation techniques, and reconciliation.
* Leadership experience, positively leading a team, and Contractor Management (analytical assay and drilling).
