Pain Medicine Trainee Position
The Tasmanian Health Service is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of our community. The Persistent Pain Service at the Royal Hobart Hospital provides the only tertiary referral pain service in Tasmania and is accredited as a Level 1 training unit.
Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day care of private and public inpatients and outpatients.
* Provide after-hours emergency cover at the hospital as required.
* Progress towards Fellowship through completion of the Faculty of Pain Medicine training program.
Qualifications
* General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration where applicable.

Salary
$138,978 - $194,675 per annum.
Salary range is in accordance with the Medical Practitioners Agreement 2025.
Classification
Medical Practitioner Level 5-11 (Registrar/Senior Registrar).
Award
Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award.
Employment Term
Fixed term, full-time day work, 76 hours per fortnight plus 10 hours protected training time per fortnight. Commencing 1 February 2027 until 7 February 2028.
