Key Responsibilities

* Working with and supporting internal clients by providing practical, effective, efficient, timely and cost‐effective legal advice on a range of legal topics.
* Lead and manage complex legal matters, ensuring the company's interests are protected.
* Team up with internal clients to support business objectives by providing legal training, improving processes, sharing knowledge, and ensuring legal compliance.
* Work collaboratively with Raytheon Australia and wider Raytheon and RTX Legal, Contracts, and Compliance teams.
* Manage legal compliance and effectively implement legal compliance programs and frameworks.
* In close collaboration with specialist colleagues at Raytheon and RTX:
o Provide legal advice on employment law matters.
o Provide legal advice on, and manage the review, negotiation, and drafting of, commercial real estate leases.
o Provide legal and compliance advice on environment, health and safety matters.
o Maintain corporate records and assist the Company Secretary with the preparation, maintenance and filing of corporate documents in accordance with applicable laws and the company's constitution.
o Provide legal advice on intellectual property matters.
o Provide legal advice on, and manage, disputes and litigation involving Raytheon Australia.
o Provide legal and compliance advice on contract and supply chain matters.
o Draft and maintain legal policies.
* Work with leaders across the business to ensure operations are in line with Raytheon Australia, Raytheon and RTX policies and procedures.
* Engage outside legal counsel where required and manage costs to achieve value for money.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

* A Degree in Law and current Practising Certificate in an Australian State or Territory.
* Admission as a lawyer in an Australian State or Territory.
* Minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience (when a University Degree is held).
* Expert or mastery level knowledge of legal areas generally needed to support large commercial entities.
* Advanced knowledge of privacy, commercial real‐estate, labour and employment disciplines within the Function / Product Line, and the ability to identify links and potential impact on projects, programmes or systems.
* Post‐admission experience as a lawyer in private practice and/or an in‐house legal role.
* Experience in a commercial environment in a law firm and/or in‐house.
