Heatherbrae's Pies are on the lookout for an energetic and committed Junior Pastry Chef Apprentice who is keen to establish a rewarding career at our Ourimbah bakery on the Central Coast.
You would be working with talented industry professionals using the freshest meats, vegetables and dairy products to produce premium quality foods.
With our Gluten Free Cafe now open, you will have the opportunity to learn the art of gluten free baking as well as the craft of traditional baking.
You will learn:
- How to put together recipes and cook gourmet pie fillings
- To prepare a range of pastry types; Puff, Crust, Shortbread etc
- How to prepare different bread types, white, fruit, banana bread etc
About you:
- Have a respectful and mature approach to working in a team environment
- Positive and skilled communication style
- Willingness to learn and develop your skills with a hands on approach to learning.
- Have the ability to reliably get to and from the work place and TAFE
- Must be an Australian citizen or have permanent Australian working rights.
We prepare and bake seven days a week and you would be rostered over a five-day week commencing 5.00am daily. With time allocated for TAFE to learn in a practical classroom environment.
