Practice Information
This clinic is a well‐respected allied health provider located in various locations across South Brisbane and the Scenic Rim. It has a multidisciplinary team of physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, dietitians, remedial massage therapists, and traditional Chinese acupuncturists. Clients are served under private, NDIS, DVA, WorkCover, CTP insurance and Enhanced Primary Care plans.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with an experienced multidisciplinary allied health team
* Assess, treat and manage patients with acute and chronic musculoskeletal, sport injuries, cardiorespiratory, disability, neurological, post‐operative rehabilitation and return‐to‐sport performance issues
* Perform muscle, nerve, joint and functional tests to identify, assess and form accurate diagnoses of clients' physical problems
* Design treatment programs to address clients' problems and goals
* Treat clients to reduce pain, improve circulation, strengthen muscles, improve cardiovascular and respiratory functions, restore joint mobility and improve balance and coordination
* Utilise therapeutic properties of manual therapy, exercise, massage, manipulation, hydrotherapy and electrotherapy in client treatment
* Review, continuously monitor, assess and re‐evaluate treatment programs
* Consult with other health professionals as required about clients' problems, needs and progress
* Provide guidance to clients and their families on home procedures to follow
* Accurately record each client's treatments provided and their responses and progress
* Develop and implement screening and preventative health‐promotion programs
* Provide individualised exercise prescription programmes when applicable
* Carry out administration tasks and assist with marketing such as newsletters, articles, photography and social media
Position Requirements
* Must have a Bachelor, Master or Doctor of Physiotherapy qualification
* Current AHPRA registration
* APA registered
* Current validated first aid
* Current driver's licence
* Positive and strong work ethic, professionalism and eagerness to learn
* Excellent communication skills and time‐management skills
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
