About The Role
We are looking for OTs to join the Kogarah Allied Health team. These positions are currently based within the Transitional Aged Care Service and the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. We have three fixed‑term positions available: one part‑time and two full‑time positions commencing from 1 December 2025.
The Level 1–2 Occupational Therapist is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering high‑quality Occupational Therapy care to clients of Calvary Health Care Kogarah (CHCK), consistent with AHPRA, Calvary Health Care Kogarah, NSW Health and South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards.
Selection Criteria
- Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy in accordance with The Named NSW (Non‑Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations’ Professional & Associated Staff Agreement (2022), current registration with AHPRA Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, and demonstrated commitment to continuing career development.
- Experience working with older people in a hospital or community health care setting with demonstrated core competency skills in Occupational Therapy.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and to exercise independent professional judgement in the provision of clinical care using evidence‑based practice, commensurate with years of experience.
- Demonstrated high‑level written, verbal and interpersonal skills, including sensitivity to the cultural needs of older patients and their carers.
- Demonstrated high‑level organisational skills with the ability to respond to the demands and pressures of the role while managing time effectively.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement processes and ability to use professional and clinical digital technologies.
- Current unrestricted NSW Class C driver’s licence or equivalent, and a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position.
- Ability to work within the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Kogarah.
