The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Payroll Officer to join our Belmont Office and support a team of 7 with end-to-end payroll processing.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Officer's responsibilities will include:
* Processing end-to-end weekly & fortnightly payrolls accurately and on time.
* Interpreting relevant Awards and EAs to process payroll and configure payroll system rules correctly.
* Assist in the resolution of complex payroll queries and issues.
* Manage the provision of timely, relevant and accurate reporting for internal and external stakeholders including statutory and regulatory bodies.
* Monthly and quarterly reconciliation of PAYG, superannuation, portable long service leave, and other general payroll maintenance tasks.
About You
* 2-3 years prior experience in end-to-end payroll processing with high volume, blue and white-collar employees (essential).
* Strong understanding of legislation, taxation and superannuation related to payroll processing activities.
* Previous experience with interpreting and understanding industrial instruments including Awards, Enterprise Agreements and Common Law arrangements.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
* Ability to work autonomously and a strong team contributor.
* Strong analytical skills and intermediate Excel skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
