About the role
Are you a seasoned heavy fabricator with a passion for precision and quality?
Kotzur is seeking an experienced Fabricator | Boilermaker | Welder to join our team at our Walla Walla, just 30 minutes from Albury.
You will work on complex projects and play a key role in the fabrication of high-quality silos and associated structures and components.
What you'll be doing
* Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings, blueprints and schematics
* Fabricate, weld and assemble structural steel components for silo builds and related structures
* Conduct quality inspections to ensure welds meet industry and project specifications
* Operate welding equipment and overhead cranes safely and efficiently
* Mentor apprentices and junior team members
* Collaborate with production supervisors, engineers, and project managers to meet deadlines
* Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to WHS protocols
What we're looking for
* Trade qualification in fabrication or welding (Certificate III Engineering Fabrication or equivalent)
* Minimum 5 years' experience in heavy steel fabrication and welding
* Proficiency in MIG welding techniques
* Ability to read and interpret workshop drawings and welding symbols
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Overhead crane experience (preferred)
* A team player who can work independently and show initiative
* Physically capable of performing fabrication tasks in various positions
