Finance Manager required for a family owned retail business

Your current role
As Finance Manager, you will play a key leadership role in managing the finance function and driving operational excellence. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and mentoring a team of 10+ Accounts Payable Administrators and Bookkeepers.
- Overseeing AP, AR, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Setting clear performance metrics and ensuring effective task delegation.
- Managing BAS, payroll tax, and compliance requirements.
- Delivering timely weekly, bi-annual, and year-end reporting.
- Preparing budgets, forecasts, and monthly management reports.
- Driving process improvements and streamlining workflows at a sustainable pace.
- Collaborating closely with external accountants and internal stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience as a team leader with strong people management skills.
- Ability to motivate and support a high-performing finance team.
- Strong technical capability in financial reporting and compliance.
- Experience in retail, FMCG, or manufacturing environments preferred.
- Familiarity with MYOB and Xero is highly advantageous.
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach with the ability to deliver fast, accurate reporting.
