Family Support Specialist
We are seeking a Family Support Specialist to join our team in providing flexible and responsive assistance to vulnerable families.
This role involves casework, counseling, case management, and support to families in their homes and other settings. We promote the safety of children and support families to work towards negotiated goals that will improve the safety, health, and wellbeing of the family.
* An appropriate tertiary qualification in social work or welfare studies or equivalent.
* Current Driver's Licence and Working with Children Check.
* Experience and skills in providing support and casework to families and children using a variety of intervention skills.
* Expertise in areas of Mental Health or Alcohol and other Drugs or Disability and/or Family Violence.
About the Role
This is a fixed-term position until 30/06/2026. You will be required to work up to 76 hours per fortnight.
Responsibilities
You will:
* Provide casework, counseling, and case management services to families.
* Develop and implement plans to improve the safety, health, and wellbeing of families.
* Work collaboratively with other agencies and service providers to achieve positive outcomes for families.
* Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve the delivery of family support services.
