About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced registered nurse who is passionate about working with children, young people and their families in a community mental health setting. The role delivers complex specialist nursing care and leads the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery to provide effective, high quality care to young people struggling with acute mental illness and their families. As a clinician within the CAMHS multidisciplinary team, the nurse will engage in direct clinical practice, working alongside colleagues from nursing, psychology, dietetics, speech therapy and psychiatry. The role will provide specialist clinical leadership and support other health care teams, contributing to the development of clinical processes, policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct clinical assessment and case management.
* Provide therapeutic intervention, psychosocial support and crisis response.
* Develop safety planning, care planning and assertive outreach.
* Advocate and coordinate supports for young people and families.
* Lead specialist clinical practice and contribute to process improvement.
