Locum Hospital Speech Pathologists are required for a full-time position in Mackay, Queensland. This role offers the opportunity to work within close-knit communities and develop clinical expertise.
The successful candidate will have experience working in acute/hospital settings and with patients of all ages. They must be able to assess, diagnose, and manage communication and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Videofluoroscopic Swallow Study (VFSS), Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation Of Swallowing (FEES), Laryngectomy, Paediatric feeding and dysphagia, Tracheostomy, and manual and patient handling skills.
Desirable skills include proficiency in using ieMR systems and previous experience working in Australia. Additionally, the following competencies are required: Paid Blue Card, Infection control, Aggressive behaviour management, and Mandatory reporting by Registered Nurses and/or Midwives for reasonable suspicions of child abuse and neglect.
