This role is a core development resource responsible for building and integrating AI capabilities into production applications. You'll work on agent AI development, data processing, and intelligent automation features. This role requires hands-on coding, AI model integration, and extending existing application functionality.
What will your typical day look like?
• Build and integrate AI agents into existing application workflows
• Develop data processing pipelines for AI model training and inference
• Implement agentic industrial data intelligence and augmented insight
• Integrate AI services with existing microservice architectures
• Collaborate with product teams on AI feature requirements
• Build knowledge graph with data intelligence team

This team is a key part of our I&I practice, which is dedicated to helping businesses, governments, and communities across the globe address their most pressing supply chain challenges. Our team is grounded in a technology-first approach, leveraging our proprietary platform to provide end-to-end supply chain visibility, identify risks and opportunities, and offer actionable strategies for our clients. This is an exciting, growing, and highly visible area within Deloitte, bringing together top-tier consulting expertise with advanced digital and data capabilities to drive tangible outcomes.
Enough about us, let's talk about you.
• 3+ years of application development experience
• Strong Python skills - data processing, API development, async programming
• Experience integrating AI/ML models into production applications
• Hands-on experience building AI agents - understanding decision-making logic, reasoning chains, and autonomous task execution
• Knowledge of agent AI rationales - how agents plan, evaluate options, and explain their reasoning processes
• Data pipeline development - processing, transformation, validation
• Cloud platform experience - deploying and monitoring AI workloads
• API integration skills - working with AI services and existing systems
• Problem-solving abilities for debugging AI system behaviours
• Full-stack development experience preferred
We are interested in speaking with candidates who are either AGSVA security cleared or able to obtain clearance i.e. Australian citizenship being a requirement.
