About the Role
- Safely operate an agitator truck to deliver premixed concrete to designated locations.
- Conduct thorough inspections of the concrete mixer to ensure it meets safety and quality standards.
- Comply with all relevant safety, health, and environmental legislation to maintain a safe working environment.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and work instructions, including drivers' instructions.
- Assist with regular maintenance activities as directed by the production supervisor, including completing the Daily Operator Checklist and ensuring truck and mixer cleanliness.
- Conduct regular inspections of the concrete in the mixer to ensure it conforms to the nominated specifications.
- Monitor and maintain the slump of each load within tolerance limits.
About You
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as an agitator driver or in a similar role is strongly preferred.
- Strong commitment to safety and a thorough understanding of safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with robust attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to perform routine checks.
- Physical fitness to handle the demands of the job, including the ability to lift heavy objects.
- Flexibility to work variable hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
