Are you a Social Worker with experience in Mental Health and enjoy working with the elderly? This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a great team of nurses and allied health professionals and a supportive and innovative team to provide quality care to members of the community aged 65 years or older with mental illness in the community setting.

If you are an overseas qualified Social Worker, you are required to have your qualifications assessed by the AASW to meet the position criteria.
Location
You will be based at Older Persons Mental Health, Sutherland Mental Health Service, located in The Sutherland Hospital campus, Caringbah.
Position Requirements
* Degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social workers (AASW)
* Extensive experience in social work with knowledge of Older Persons Mental Health service models in community based and inpatient settings
* Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills
* Demonstrated commitment to strengths and recovery based practice with experience and understanding of models of consumer participation
* Demonstrated leadership skills/experience in clinical practice, supervision, quality improvement and service planning
* Proven ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature
* Computer literacy including MS Office applications & relevant health databases and systems
* Current NSW Driver's Licence (Class C – unrestricted)
