Welcome to Western Australia's largest and most spectacular region, spanning more than 770,000 square kilometres of breathtaking landscapes, vibrant communities, and once‐in‐a‐lifetime experiences.

Our District supports a vast and diverse area, including four regional offices, three local Aboriginal community multifunction facilities and covers 11 remote communities across the iconic Ngaanyatjarra Lands, near the Northern Territory and South Australian borders.

Every day here offers something extraordinary — wide open horizons, rich Aboriginal culture, stunning natural environments, and the kind of outback lifestyle most people only ever dream about. You'll be welcomed into communities known for their warmth, resilience, and strong connections.

Opportunity

As an Education Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting education services across the Goldfields region. Working in close partnership with schools, communities, and stakeholders, you'll contribute to educational outcomes that are culturally responsive, inclusive, and impactful.

While responsibilities may vary across communities, the role typically includes:

* Supporting the delivery and improvement of education services in regional and remote settings.
* Working collaboratively with schools, local communities, and Aboriginal organisations.
* Contributing to educational initiatives, programs, and projects aligned with departmental priorities.
* Providing advice, guidance, and support to strengthen teaching, learning, and engagement.
* Building strong relationships grounded in respect for culture, community, and place.

What We're Looking For

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic regional environment, values collaboration, and is motivated by making a genuine difference for children, families, and communities.

We are seeking an education professional who:

* Is passionate about education and community impact.
* Demonstrates strong communication and relationship‐building skills.
* Is adaptable, resilient, and comfortable working across diverse and remote contexts.
* Values culturally responsive practice and collaborative ways of working.
* Is ready to grow their career while supporting meaningful outcomes in regional WA.

Exceptional Location & Employment Benefits

* Subsidised GROH Housing: Enjoy affordable, quality housing that makes relocating and living in the region easier and more cost‐effective.
* Annual Leave Travel Concession (Free Pass to the Coast): Take advantage of one free return trip every second year, helping you stay connected with family, friends, and city getaways.
* 5 Days Commuted TOIL per Year: Benefit from additional time off to support work‐life balance and reward your commitment to regional service.
* Attractive Paid Leave Allowances: Access enhanced leave arrangements that recognise the unique demands and opportunities of working in remote locations, including 4 weeks Annual Leave, 15 days Personal Leave, Bereavement Leave, 18 weeks Paid Parental Leave, Paid Public Holidays and Study Leave to support your development into qualified roles.
* District Allowance: Receive an allowance of $2,354 – $4,708 per annum for working in a regional area, helping offset the cost of living and supporting your lifestyle.
* Regional Incentive Scheme: An allowance of up to $1,000 per year towards the reimbursement of utility expenses.
