This position qualifies for an annual Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $10,000 (conditions apply and may be pro‐rated to your contracted or ordinary working hours; these payments are paid on a fortnightly basis) under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.
This scheme recognises the role that key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services, and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements to attract and retain staff in these areas.

Responsibilities
* Support and assist dental clinicians in the provision of oral health services to patients.
* Undertake administrative and reception duties – filing, maintain electronic patient database, appointment scheduling, wait list management, maintenance of stock and ordering.
* Assist in the delivery of oral health promotion activities.

Qualifications
* Certificate III in Dental Assisting or relevant work experience, and working towards obtaining formal qualification. Dental Assisting Certificate IV required for appointment at Grade 2.
* Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to relate well to adults, children and other health professionals.
* Demonstrated ability to perform effective infection control, instrument reprocessing and dental assisting.
* Demonstrated ability to plan own work, manage priorities, use initiative and to problem solve.
* Effective computer skills for communication and proficiency in Word and Excel.
* Class C driver's licence with the ability and willingness to travel for work purposes.
