About the opportunity
* Contribute to excellence in teaching, research and higher degree supervision in Initial Teacher Education, contribute to course co‐ordination and all state and national accreditation activities.
* Provide expertise in the further development of professional experience opportunities, policies and practices and oversee the design, development and delivery of all professional experience units.
* Undertake unit and course co‐ordination, supervise postgraduate and higher degree students, engage in world‐class research, and actively support the strategic initiatives of the University and School.
About you
* A completed doctorate in the field of Education or a closely related field, with a demonstrated record of teaching in higher education, including initial teacher education and/or mentoring of pre‐service teachers in school settings.
* Demonstrated ability to lead professional experience and implement quality assurance processes.
* A research profile commensurate with the expectations of the position, with evidence of successful supervision of masters and doctoral candidates and the potential to secure internal and/or external grants.
* Demonstrated record of leadership, with evidence of engagement with the external community, research and/or professional bodies to advance knowledge and/or practice in the field of Education.
* Preferably experience working in school settings and initial teacher education courses, including leading quality assurance and/or the implementation of accreditation requirements in Australia.
