Business Development Manager
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and pursuing business opportunities aligned with corporate goals. Key responsibilities include managing sales pipelines, preparing and negotiating proposals, and acting as the primary contact for contract logistics sales enquiries.
Main Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver targeted sales activities to drive profitable deal closures.
* Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and oversee onboarding to ensure excellent customer solutions and satisfaction.
* Generate and manage a robust sales pipeline with short, medium, and long-term opportunities aligned to business strategy.
* Track and analyse KPIs, forecasts, and budgets to optimise revenue streams and support strategic sales planning.
Requirements:
* 5+ year's experience in Sales, Marketing, or Business Development, with proven success in business development and senior-level customer management.
* Degree qualified, with additional business management training considered an advantage.
* Strong knowledge of Supply Chain and Logistics Operating Models, including pricing and rate cards, with 5+ years focused on Contract Logistics sales development.
* Demonstrated ability in customer lead generation, high-retention relationship building, and expanding into new verticals such as freight forwarding.
* Highly organised, capable of managing priorities effectively, performing well under pressure, and skilled in consultative sales and strategic relationship management.
