Account Executive – Education Sector (QLD)
As an Account Executive with a focus on the education sector based in Queensland, you'll play a key role in driving growth by identifying new opportunities, strengthening customer relationships, and delivering impactful IT solutions. You'll work across a broad technology portfolio and collaborate with highly skilled technical specialists, service delivery teams, and vendor partners to deliver outcomes that matter. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the balance of hunting for new business while also growing and nurturing existing customer relationships.
Responsibilities
* Building strong customer relationships through a consultative and solutions-focused approach
* Identifying and developing new business opportunities across the QLD market
* Creating tailored proposals and presenting technology solutions aligned to customer needs
* Collaborating with technical teams to scope and deliver right-sized solutions
* Managing customer accounts and uncovering opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
* Preparing quotes, contracts, and tender responses
* Tracking pipeline activity and maintaining accurate CRM data
* Keeping abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to support customer conversations
* Working toward sales and customer satisfaction targets while maintaining a high level of service
Essential Qualifications
* Strong experience in technology sales, business development, or account management
* A customer-centric approach with the ability to build trusted relationships
* Experience selling IT solutions, managed services, infrastructure, cloud, or mobility solutions
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Experience developing proposals, quotes, and solution recommendations
* Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
* A proactive mindset with a focus on achieving outcomes and delivering value
Desirable Qualifications
* Exposure to education, government, or enterprise customers
* Experience working with Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms, or managed services offerings
* Tender response experience
* Familiarity with CRM and sales management platforms
