The role focuses on supporting student recruitment activities by promoting ACU to prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as key external stakeholders. Working within a national Future Students team, the position contributes to innovative marketing, engagement, and outreach initiatives designed to attract and convert future students. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Support recruitment efforts to promote ACU in local and regional areas where campuses are based – Collaborate with Future Students Leads and colleagues on national recruitment initiatives – Work with Marketing & External Relations, university faculties, and other internal departments – Partner with First Peoples and Equity Pathways teams on prospective student engagement activities – Deliver prospective student communications, including newsletters and electronic direct mail – Generate leads and support innovative marketing activities to attract and convert students – Build and nurture relationships with high school communities, including careers advisers, teachers, and principals – Conduct presentations for school students – Attend and support events such as careers expos, webinars, presentations, and ACU Open Days – Manage reporting, logistics, recruitment activities, and stakeholder relationships – Travel locally and interstate as required and attend activities held outside standard business hours REQUIREMENTS – Eligibility to hold Australian work rights, with permanent work rights required for continuing roles – Willingness to undertake local and interstate travel as part of recruitment activities – Flexibility with working hours to attend events outside standard business hours – Ability to obtain and hold a Working with Children Check (WWCC) and/or Working with Vulnerable People Check, as applicable – Capacity to complete mandatory pre-employment declarations and background checks in line with ACU compliance requirements WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Future Students Officers play a critical role in shaping how prospective students and influencers experience the university during the decision-making process.
