Senior Occupational Therapist – Early Childhood | SALHN
This part‐time ongoing position within the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network's Early Childhood and Family Services program is based at community locations (Marion and Noarlunga). The position offers an experienced Occupational Therapist the opportunity to lead clinical practice and mentor a team of AHP2 OTs while maintaining a hands‐on caseload with children aged 0–4 and their families.
About the role:
Reporting to the Allied Health Manager, the role provides professional and clinical leadership and supervision of AHP2 Occupational Therapists employed across all SALHN sites.
Duties:
* Ensure all AHP2 Occupational Therapists have supervision contracts with the Clinical Lead Early Childhood Occupational Therapist.
* Maintain credentialing for all AHP2 Occupational Therapists.
* Plan, direct and coordinate service and research development within funding, staffing and resources, aligned with strategic priorities.
* Implement and lead quality Occupational Therapy service provision within the community using performance management and quality assurance procedures, and provide staff education and development.
About you:
* Must hold an appropriate degree that entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist.
* Must hold general registration with Australian Health Practitioners Registration Authority (AHPRA).
* Demonstrated ability to relate well to, work with and support children 6 weeks to school age and families from various cultures and backgrounds, often in complex vulnerable families.
* Demonstrated ability to critically and reflectively evaluate own work and maintain professional development.
* Demonstrated managerial and leadership skills.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in Occupational Therapy.
* Experience at a senior or managerial level.
* Experience in supervising, training and/or supporting professional staff and/or students.
