Job Role:
Mechanical fitters are responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment in a coal mining operation.
The job involves working on shovel maintenance, infrastructure maintenance, and other tasks related to mining operations.
They must have experience working with heavy machinery and possess strong problem-solving skills.
Additionally, they need to be safety-focused and able to work effectively under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and repair mechanical equipment, including shovels and draglines
* Conduct routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance tasks
* Collaborate with colleagues to achieve maintenance goals and improve safety standards
Requirements:
* 12 months+ of experience in mining maintenance
* Previous experience working on heavy machinery, particularly shovels and draglines
* High-risk license for forklift operation (desired)
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
