About Our Venue and Kitchen:
We are a local cafe based in Mandurah, 6210. We are busy and getting even busier! Our vibe is to provide great coffee and a creative breakfast/brunch/lunch menu. We take great pride in prepping and making as much as possible in house! Our kitchen is organised, energetic always ready to be busy.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook café menu items to a consistently high standard.
Maintain food quality, presentation, and portion control.
Assist with menu planning, seasonal specials, and recipe development.
Ensure all food is prepared and stored in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory management.
Minimise food waste and maintain cost-effective kitchen operations.
Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety requirements.
Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality standards.
Train, support, and collaborate with kitchen staff where required.
Ensure equipment is used safely and report maintenance issues promptly.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
Follow opening, closing, and daily kitchen procedures.
About You:
Experience in a busy cafe environment as a chef/cook
Strong communication, organizational and time-management skills.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards including relevant certificates/qualifications.
Food Safety Supervisor certification is required for this position.
Passion for creating high-quality, delicious food consistently
Australian work rights are essential for this position.
