WELDER – Hamilton Island
Are you an experienced Welder looking for a sea change? Trade the workshop commute for island life and join the Hamilton Island Maintenance and Trades team.
In this hands‐on role, you'll be responsible for MIG, TIG and ARC welding, mechanical installations, repairs and maintenance across a diverse range of facilities. From resort infrastructure and staff accommodation to concessionaire operations, you'll play a key role in ensuring Hamilton Island's facilities remain safe, functional and maintained to the highest standard.

Where you'll make an impact
* Perform MIG, TIG and ARC welding across a variety of maintenance and installation projects
* Complete mechanical installations, maintenance and repairs across resort facilities, staff accommodation and concessionaire sites
* Prioritise urgent repairs and maintenance requests to ensure safety and guest satisfaction
* Accurately record labour hours, materials and job completion information
* Maintain vehicles in a clean, safe and roadworthy condition
* Support the Maintenance team with additional tasks as directed by the Maintenance Manager
What we're looking for
You are a trade‐qualified Welder who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and maintaining high safety standards. You enjoy a varied workload, can prioritise competing demands and thrive working both independently and as part of a team.
To be successful, you'll need:
* First Class Welder Certificate (Essential)
* MIG, TIG and ARC welding experience (Essential)
* Open/unrestricted manual Australian Driver Licence (Essential)
* White Construction Card (Essential)
* Working Safely at Heights certification (Essential)
* Minimum 3 years post‐apprenticeship experience (Desirable)
* Previous experience in Tourism or Hospitality (Desirable)
