About the Role

FTI Consulting is looking for a talented professional at the Consultant, Senior Consultant orManager level (internal title is Director)to join FTI Consulting's valuations and forensics teams (opportunities in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane). As a key member, you will be an integral part of this fast‐growing practice. FTI Consulting's dedicated team of valuation specialists provides valuations of businesses, intangible assets and many other types of financial assets for taxation, strategy, regulatory, M&A, accounting, and litigation purposes. On a day‐to‐day basis we help our clients by analysing and assessing the value drivers of their businesses and intellectual property.

Some examples of the types of valuations:

* Businesses
* Equity
* Debt
* Hybrid financial instruments
* Brands
* Patents and other intellectual property
* Contracts
* Infrastructure assets

You will work directly with senior team members who will support and guide you throughout engagements. Your professional development will be enhanced through internal and external training, on‐the‐job coaching and mentoring.

What You'll Do
* Execute a wide range of valuation engagements for strategy, transactions, regulatory, tax compliance, financial reporting, and litigation purposes.
* Support day‐to‐day engagement execution, including interaction with clients, financiers, auditors, tax advisors and legal advisers.
* Undertake company and industry analysis.
* Participate in interviews with senior management of our clients to understand their businesses.
* Perform financial, ratio and comparable company analysis.
* Perform valuations analysis of any of the examples listed above.
* Assist in drafting clear and concise written reports summarising our valuation analysis.
* Assist with business development activities.
* Assist with developing and enhancing financial models and reporting templates.
* Contribute to FTI Consulting initiatives and team development activities.

Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related disciplines (or other liberal arts or sciences degrees with aptitude for financial analysis).
* 1 to 4years of professional experience, including in business and/or intangible asset valuations, credit analysis, tax advisory or other related experience.
* Strong understanding of, or interest in, valuations and corporate finance.
* Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
* Experience in writing documents and reports.
* Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
* Knowledge or understanding of accounting principles.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
* Adaptability in a fast‐paced and dynamic working environment.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to handle and analyse complex financial information.
* Ability to work on multiple client matters simultaneously.
* Ability to work with senior team members and the client in deadline‐driven projects.
* Strong work ethic and integrity, and high level of professionalism.
* Willingness to travel for work.
Compensation

Minimum Pay: $74,000Maximum Pay: $99,000. Compensation disclosure: The range reflects potential base salary for the role and is inclusive of superannuation. Determination of actual salary is based on a combination of relevant factors such as market considerations, business needs, skills, level of experience and qualifications.
