Sample Receipt Officer
Located in Canberra, ALS Water is seeking a Sample Receipt Officer committed to delivering excellent client service.
Responsibilities
* Greet and assist clients by phone and in person.
* Process incoming sample deliveries into the laboratory, including sorting and labelling samples.
* Read and understand client Chain of Custody documentation, including analytical testing requirements.
* Accurately enter information from the client Chain of Custody documentation into the ALS LIMS system.
* Liaise with clients (internal and external) regarding sample submissions and related queries.
* Manually move samples and eskies around the laboratory using provided equipment (typically around 15kg).
* Maintain an excellent standard of occupational health and safety.
Essential Qualifications
* Laboratory or Chemistry experience or qualifications preferred but not essential.
* Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.
* Good presentation, professional attitude and attention to detail.
* Demonstrated reliability and efficiency.
* Good level of computer literacy (training is provided for internal recording systems).
* Ability to absorb and retain high levels of information.
* Ability to process large volumes of samples and records efficiently and within strict timeframes.
Work Hours
Full‐time Monday to Friday; reduced hours may be considered for the right candidate.
Eligibility
To be eligible to work at ALS you must be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of the country you are applying for, or hold or be able to obtain a valid working visa.
