What You'll Be Doing
The Clinical Nurse Specialist uses best practice evidence to provide person-centred specialist nursing care at an advanced practice level for the designated specialty in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary health care team. You will provide clinical leadership, support and supervision for less experienced clinicians to achieve people-focused quality care.
Key responsibilities include:
* Deliver advanced nursing care within renal specialty in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
* Provide clinical leadership and supervision to support staff development and quality improvement.
* Engage in professional development and mentor others within the specialty.
Qualifications and Experience
* Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
* Relevant post-registration qualifications in renal nursing with a minimum of three years' experience in the clinical specialty.
* Demonstrated competencies in complex, multidisciplinary care and extended autonomy in clinical decision making.
* Effective clinical communication, including IT literacy and strong interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to evidence-based practice and individualised person-centred care at an advanced level with a focus on quality improvement.
* Ability to supervise, delegate and negotiate to deliver quality nursing care and lead change in coordination and delivery of care.
* Active participation in ongoing professional development and willingness to share expertise as a resource and mentor.
