Plant Biosecurity Leadership Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our plant biosecurity efforts across the region. This role is crucial in protecting our agricultural industries and natural environments from plant pests and diseases.
1. The successful candidate will deliver extension and surveillance services to landholders and the community, coordinate detection reporting and response initiatives for priority plant pests, support emerging industries with biosecurity planning and training, and collaborate with regional partners to implement strategic biosecurity initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Agricultural or Environmental Science, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and a proactive approach to biosecurity challenges. They must also hold a current driver licence and be willing to travel.
Key Responsibilities:
