About the opportunity
Hiring for Aug 2026 Start. The role is accredited for RACGP Extended Skills Post and is ideal for GPT 3 and above registrar position. The role is also suitable for physician training and/or Emergency Training. Those who are interested in physician or Emergency Medicine are strongly encouraged to apply.
You will work closely with HITH consultant, Resident Medical Officer and Senior Nurses to provide care for patients in HITH. There is no afterhours for the role. The department medical consultants provide at least bi-weekly training and education in addition to hospital education and training. There is opportunity for the role to join other specialty rotations in 2026.
About you
Must have valid APHRA medical registration. Full time or Part Time based at Werribee Mercy Hospital. Great experience for a general position Hospital in the home and ambulatory positions great for doctors interested in general practice.

* Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
* A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
* The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
* A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
* Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
