Job Description

As the first point of contact for the People & Culture team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering professional guidance and operational support across all stages of the employee lifecycle while fostering a positive and high-performing workplace culture.

Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, you will operate with a high level of autonomy, professionalism, and discretion in managing a broad range of People & Culture responsibilities. In this support role, you will also provide day-to-day guidance and administrative support to the People & Culture Coordinator, assisting with completion of tasks, workflow management, and ensuring the smooth operation of the department.

You will partner closely with department leaders to support recruitment, onboarding and the preparation of employment contracts and associated onboarding documentation. In addition, you will maintain accurate employee records, prepare reports, support WHS initiatives, and manage day-to-day People enquiries while building strong relationships with our team members.

You will assist in managing WorkCover cases, participate in disciplinary and performance discussions, and support the implementation of People & Culture strategies, policies, and best practices.

Qualifications

* Previous experience as a Human Resources Coordinator (or equivalent level, e.g., HR Officer)
* Experience in the hotel or hospitality sector, an advantage
* Tertiary education in Human Resources
* Excellent empathetic, interpersonal and communication skills
* Well organised, multi-tasker with the ability to work independently
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to prioritise work in an environment with multiple interests
* Ability to handle complex and confidential information with discretion
* Demonstrated competency adapting and working with online systems
* Return to Work Coordinator certification, an advantage
