The Role
We currently have a full-time opportunity in our Maintenance team for a Fitter on day shift! This role is a permanent full-time opportunity, working Monday to Friday from 6:00am - 2:30pm.
Purpose of the Role
* Diagnose and resolve equipment breakdowns efficiently, minimizing downtime and maintaining productivity in a safe manner
* Collaborate with other maintenance and production team members to communicate equipment status, particularly during shift changes
* Maintain safety and compliance standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance equipment reliability and production efficiency
* Working with the Maintenance Manager and Supervisors to conduct root cause analysis on failures and ensuring follow up on identified actions
* Maintaining all registers, logs and systems to track repairs, notifications and work activities
* Develop & maintain a close and collaborative working relationships across the Maintenance, Production, Planning and Engineering teams
About You
* Minimum Certificate 3 in Engineering - Mechanical Trade
* A safety mindset with a strong commitment to ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others
* Can work and communicate well in a team environment
* Sound understanding of reactive, preventative and predictive maintenance systems and techniques
* Sound knowledge of high-speed packaging equipment, bearings, seals, shaft repair, conveying systems, etc
* Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
* Great organisational and time management skills
* Able to work independently, with minimal supervision
