About the role
Lead the Graduate Diploma of Midwifery Program as a visionary educator at the School of Nursing and Midwifery.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver and coordinate lectures, tutorials, workshops and block weeks within the Graduate Diploma of Midwifery program.
* Develop engaging teaching resources and course materials.
* Promote the Midwifery Model of Care and continuity of care.
* Provide student support through consultations and coordinate assessments.
* Contribute to curriculum review, development and program evaluation.
* Participate in relevant program, school and university committees and meetings as required.
* Maintain ongoing professional development, scholarship and research in midwifery.
* Support the Objects of Notre Dame as a Catholic University.
Qualifications, skills & experience
* Level B academic staff member with qualifications in midwifery.
* Master's Degree in a relevant midwifery or health related topic.
* Registered as a midwife in Australia with significant recent clinical midwifery experience.
* Demonstrated ability to provide high‐quality teaching in a university setting and experience with course coordination and academic governance.
* Demonstrated ability to develop teaching resources and deliver courses in a variety of formats, including effective use of online learning management.
* Well‐developed understanding of contemporary issues in midwifery.
* Well‐developed understanding of curriculum development, accreditation and current issues in higher education.
* Excellent communication, time‐management and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team.
