To protect Queensland's waterways and the people who use them - ensuring safer, cleaner seas for all.Key responsibilitiesAs Principal Advisor (WHS), you'll be at the heart of our safety efforts, maintaining our Safety Management System, driving governance and reporting activities, and supporting the Principal Manager (WHS) in all things 's what you'll be doing:- Providing expert advice on WHS functions, health and wellness, and risk management for MSQ. You'll also keep us ahead of the curve with your knowledge of WHS legislation and emerging changes.- Keeping our Safety Management System in top shape, ensuring compliance with TMR and legislative requirements, and monitoring its performance.- Creating operational safety content (think standards, procedures, guidance, tools, and reports) and helping with implementation and training.- Leading WHS audits and risk assessments, identifying opportunities for improvement, and rolling out practical solutions.- Driving initiatives to boost organisational capability in incident prevention, investigations, and front-line safety leadership.- Building strong, collaborative relationships with health and safety professionals, operational staff, and stakeholders to achieve positive safety outcomes.About youWe're looking for someone who's not just qualified but passionate about making a difference.
