The Position
Provide leadership and oversight of the implementation of WVA's A$25m+ ANCP portfolio of 20‐25 projects across 20 countries. The ANCP Manager ensures high quality programming and due process and systems are in place to meet DFAT requirements and the strategic goals of WVA. This position will be critical in delivering grants excellence for WVA and selected WV Field Offices.
Together with an ANCP Coordinator and an ANCP Design & Risk Advisor, the role will also be a critical point of contact between WVA and DFAT. As such the manager will lead or support higher management to engage on DFAT operational issues, feeding back into WVA as appropriate. You will be a key member of WVA's International Program Management Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities
* Submit high quality Annual Development Plan and Performance Reporting, including completing Program Header, in a timely manner.
* Work with ANCP Program Managers and, as necessary WV Field Offices, to facilitate high quality programming, as well as to expand on contracts/grants or other leverage opportunities if they arise.
* Provide management oversight, advice and direction for ANCP objectives within relevant Program Managers' portfolio, including supporting them to fulfil reporting obligations & submit high quality documentation to ANCP team.
* Work with the WVA Field Finance team to monitor and produce timely accurate reports on the financial performance of the ANCP portfolio.
* Lead collaboration, and where necessary coordination, of activities to deliver evidence building and communication of impact of the ANCP projects to the Australian community, Australian NGO community and DFAT.
* Lead the development of ANCP Grants Management guidance to ensure WVA's ANCP portfolio is managed to the highest quality and enhance engagement with DFAT and other partners.
* Define and document ANCP strategic outcomes as a program, in line with WVI global impact framework, Sustainable Development Goals and WVA strategic objectives.
* Lead the ANCP Team to deliver impact reporting in an annual cycle of analysis, reflection and publications.
* Support the implementation of the ANCP Contract, particularly regarding portfolio responsibility for how contract management contributes to DFAT supporter experience.
* Support Systems & Data Assurance Team and Finance teams to develop and implement a program management dashboard(s) and reporting tools to provide portfolio level reporting to drive improved performance management & visibility of project performance.
* Engage with ANCP and WVA Program Managers to ensure that WVA's donors' requirements are well understood.
About You
You have an understanding of procurement or grants structures and processes of the Australian Government and/or other international organisations and bring strong relationship management skills. You can balance multiple projects and have a track record of delivering on time.
You will have:
* An understanding of the international aid landscape, and key international actors/donors.
* Experience in leading a DFAT ANCP grant project or contract, with a detailed knowledge of ANCP reporting rhythms and requirements.
* Experience in the leadership of small‐medium professional teams.
* An understanding of the unique needs and requirements of donors within an international development context, and experience articulating, communicating and delivering.
* Financial and management reporting; business planning.
* Demonstrated application of technical skills in a relevant context (program/project management, NFP/NGO, public service, foundation or other donor).
* Relevant tertiary qualifications: these may include Business/commerce, International Relations/International Development, accounting, legal, or a relevant technical field.
