Full job description

We are seeking a female worker who is compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals who require assistance with daily living tasks, helping them maintain their independence and overall well‐being. If you have a genuine passion for helping others and want to make a difference in someone's life, this opportunity may be for you.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
* Help with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition for individuals in your care.
* Support mobility, including assistance with transfers, walking, or using mobility aids.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the individual's quality of life.
* Assist with medication reminders and ensure medications are taken as prescribed (training provided).
* Light housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and organizing, to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
* Accompany individuals to appointments or activities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
* Promote and encourage independence, respecting the individual's dignity and preferences.
* Foster a positive, respectful, and supportive relationship with clients and their families.

Qualifications:

* Previous experience in personal care or caregiving is an asset.
* A caring, compassionate, and patient nature with a strong desire to help others.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on client needs.
* A valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.
* First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
* A background check required.

Preferred Qualifications:

* A certificate in Personal Care Assistance, Disability Support, or similar qualifications.
* Experience with specialized care needs (e.g., dementia, mobility support) is a plus.
