This is a CEO-2 role inside a lean, ASX-listed FMCG business that has spent the last three years fundamentally reshaping itself: rebuilding its leadership team, streamlining its brand portfolio, and placing technology at the centre of its growth strategy.
The business has completed a major operational transformation and is now entering its next phase. A mid-market ERP implementation is underway, a live Salesforce commercial platform is scaling across field and key account teams, and a practical AI and automation agenda is already embedded and gaining traction.
AI tools are deployed to all employees, a structured community of practice is running, and the expectation is clear: this person leads and accelerates that agenda rather than waiting on vendors to drive it.
Where you come in:
With a sub-200-person team and a non-hierarchical, startup-minded culture, this is an environment where the Head of Technology moves between strategy and execution daily, has direct board exposure on cyber and technology governance, and works alongside a leadership team that has largely been in the seat for under two years.
Reporting to a senior executive, the Head of Technology owns the enterprise technology environment end-to-end: cybersecurity, platform governance, data and AI enablement, and strategic vendor management.
What you will own:
* Cybersecurity, technology risk, and governance including direct board reporting
* Enterprise technology strategy and architecture
* Strategic oversight of ERP, Salesforce, integrations, and cloud platforms
* AI, automation, and intelligent workflow enablement across the business
* Enterprise data and integration capability
* Strategic vendor and technology partner management
* Post-ERP technology operating model and team design
What you bring:
This role will not suit a career infrastructure manager, a governance-first technologist, or someone who has only operated with a large team around them.
The right person will tick most of the following:
* Proven technology leadership in an FMCG, retail, consumer goods, or pharmacy business.
* Hands-on ERP implementation experience in a mid-market environment. You have been in the room where decisions were made, not just managed a vendor relationship
* Board-ready on cybersecurity. You can own the risk conversation without a CISO beside you
* You have actually built AI or automation tools with business teams, not just approved a roadmap
* You speak in commercial outcomes: trade spend ROI, working capital, service levels, and adoption rates. Infrastructure metrics are a secondary language
* You are comfortable being the most senior technologist in the business, with no large team to delegate to
* Salesforce experience, particularly in a commercial or consumer goods context, is a strong advantage
What's on offer:
* Package offering up to $250k base + 15% STI + Super
* Direct board exposure to cyber and technology governance
* A genuine pathway to a CIO-level role
* An interesting and well-funded technology agenda without the bureaucracy of a large enterprise
