Bonjour! Step into a role where precision meets personalised service, and every detail shapes an exceptional group experience. As our Groups Assistant Manager within Reservations, you will play a pivotal role in curating seamless stays from the very first enquiry to the final departure.
* Create and manage group bookings with care and accuracy, overseeing rooming lists, arrivals, dining arrangements, deposits, and final numbers, ensuring all information is complete and up to date.
* Work closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Porter teams to ensure every group requirement, special request, and contractual detail is thoughtfully executed, delivering a cohesive and elevated guest journey.
* Prepare and share refined, standardised reports to keep all departments aligned and informed, monitoring group performance, identifying demand periods, and uncovering opportunities to optimise revenue and enhance outcomes.
* Maintain accurate records, billing arrangements, and commission processes in Opera, ensuring precision and integrity.
* Build and nurture relationships with clients, PCOs, suppliers, and partner hotels, fostering trust and loyalty that inspire repeat business.
* Support the qualification of group leads and identify ways to elevate each booking through tailored enhancements and upselling.
* Manage payments, cancellations, and no‐shows in line with hotel policies, ensuring all communications and contracts reflect the highest brand standards.
* Balance daily administrative responsibilities with ease, supporting the team and leadership with professionalism, care, and a commitment to excellence.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in luxury hotel group or events management, ideally within a supervisory capacity, with a strong understanding of the end‐to‐end journey from initial enquiry through to seamless execution.
* Highly organised and naturally composed, able to manage multiple priorities with ease, bringing structure, precision, and calm confidence to dynamic environments.
* Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring every aspect of a group experience is thoughtfully curated and flawlessly delivered.
* Refined communication and interpersonal skills, building genuine connections with clients, colleagues, and partners alike, with negotiation, collaboration, and influence matched by a warm, guest‐focused approach.
* Technical proficiency in hotel reservations and event management systems, with experience in Opera Cloud highly regarded.
* Adaptable and flexible, embracing the evolving nature of hospitality, including working evenings or weekends when required.
