Occupational Health & Safety Manager - Construction Location: Edinburgh, Adelaide, South Australia (5111) Hours: Monday to Saturday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM Contract Duration: 6 Months Rate: $75 per hour We are seeking an experienced Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager with a strong construction background to oversee safety and compliance for a warehouse assembly project in Adelaide, South Australia. This is a full-time, fixed-term position offering an excellent hourly rate and the opportunity to play a key role in a significant project. About the Role As the WHS Manager, you will lead the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of workplace safety systems across the site. You will ensure compliance with WHS legislation, conduct risk assessments, and provide guidance to site teams to maintain a safe working environment throughout the construction and assembly phases. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, industry standards, and internal policies. Develop and maintain risk assessments, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), and safety management plans. Deliver worker inductions and ongoing safety training. Ensure all personnel are equipped with and correctly using required PPE. Conduct daily toolbox talks and maintain all relevant WHS documentation (Safety Plans, Guidelines, Safety Handbook, etc.). Lead incident investigations and manage injury and compliance reporting. Review RAMS and WHS procedures, updating documentation as required. Monitor daily construction and assembly activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols. About You Full Australian working rights. Strong knowledge of construction processes and WHS legislation. Experience with installation safety requirements. Proficient in report writing, office software, and maintaining registers (including test and tag). Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to coach and influence teams. Demonstrated ability to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement effective control measures.
