Job Description
Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach, located in the heart of Broadbeach and just moments from the coastline, is a French luxury hotel with 296 rooms, sweeping ocean and hinterland views, and vibrant dining destinations.
We are looking for a Director of Sales & Marketing to be the visionary force behind the hotel's revenue strategy, the voice of its positioning, and the guardian of its desirability. Reporting directly to the General Manager, and in close collaboration with the Revenue Management and Ecommerce teams, you will design and implement an ambitious strategy that positions the property as a market leader across Rooms, F&B, MICE, Wellness and beyond.
Responsibilities
* Play a key role in budget planning by defining ambitious targets per segment and feeder market, then develop and execute an annual sales strategy across every key revenue stream.
* Nurture key partnerships in coordination with the Accor Global Sales Office, including luxury travel advisors (Amex FHR), consortia (Virtuoso, Signature) and corporate clients.
* Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, sales missions and fam trips to promote the property and generate qualified leads.
* Leverage the ALL Accor loyalty program to drive guest engagement and business growth.
* Bring the brand promise to life, turning it into a seamless, elevated, and emotionally engaging guest experience at every touchpoint.
* Develop and implement a comprehensive positioning and communication strategy to grow the hotel's visibility, desirability and reputation across key markets.
* Oversee the Marketing Manager's action plan across PR, social media, advertising and digital marketing, in connection with the Ecommerce Director.
* Build strategic partnerships with luxury brands and cultural players to create exclusive events, co-branded campaigns and high‐value activations.
* Drive sales team performance through data‐driven decision‐making, regular business reviews, and analysis of market trends, competitive benchmarks and guest insights.
* Recruit, train and mentor a high‐performing sales and marketing team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability and guest‐centric service.
Qualifications
* 7 to 10 years of experience in sales and marketing within luxury hospitality.
* A data‐driven mindset and strong business sense, with the ability to think critically, make strategic decisions and contribute effectively to budgeting.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners and luxury clientele.
* Genuine energy for teamwork across Sales, Marketing, Revenue and Ecommerce.
* Curiosity, with a habit of staying current on best practices and trends.
* A strong interest in the luxury and hospitality industries.
* Very good verbal and written communication skills in English.
* A bold, agile, collaborative and performance‐driven approach.
* A people‐first leadership style with a measurable record of developing talent and reducing team turnover.
* Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Hospitality or a related field (preferred).
