The Opportunity
This is a genuine end-to-end Senior Project Manager role with full ownership of multi-million-dollar design & construct projects specialising in odour control systems, chemical dosing, biogas utilisation and associated civils/mechanical works on wastewater treatment plants and pump stations.
You will report directly to the General Manager – Major Projects and be the single point of accountability for safety, program, budget, quality and client satisfaction from design development through to commissioning and handover.
To be considered
To be considered you MUST clearly demonstrate ALL of the following:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or similar
5–10+ years dedicated Project Management experience delivering design & construct water/wastewater infrastructure projects $5M–$50M+
Proven recent delivery of odour control and/or biogas systems in Australia (essential)
Civil + mechanical site delivery experience on WWTPs, rising mains or pump stations
Advanced Primavera P6 capability – you build, baseline, maintain and recover Level 3/4 schedules independently
Strong commercial and contract management skills (scope control, variations, EOTs, forecasting, procurement)
Experience leading HAZOPs, CHAIR reviews, design reviews and commissioning
Excellent client-facing skills with water authorities, councils or Tier 1 contractors in QLD/NSW
Current driver's licence and ability to pass regular D&A screening
Key Responsibilities
Full project planning, resourcing and scheduling in P6
Lead design, procurement, construction supervision and commissioning
Primary client contact – proactive communication and relationship management
Budget ownership, risk management, monthly reporting and project close-out
Drive site safety, quality and program performance (zero rework culture)
