Uniting is seeking a dynamic and proactive Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for all visitors and callers, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative and customer service support to our programs, staff, and external stakeholders. You will contribute to ensuring smooth operations and maintaining positive relationships across various teams and with our partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide front‐line customer service, managing the switchboard, greeting visitors, and ensuring a welcoming office environment.
* Perform general administrative tasks, including document management, project support, and meeting coordination (invitations, room bookings, agendas, minutes).
* Assist with financial tasks, including invoicing, banking, daily reconciliation, and accounts payable support.
* Ensure smooth service delivery through contract administration, purchase order processing, and coordination with suppliers and teams.
* Maintain filing systems, manage office resources, and assist with onboarding and orientation for new staff.

Your skills and experience
To be successful you will meet the person specification, including having a Certificate in Business Administration or extensive experience in customer service, reception and administration support roles. Previous experience in a human services organisation would be advantageous.
You will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise a varied workload with conflicting tasks and deadlines. A strong initiative and proactive attitude are essential to this role. Strong communication, organisation and computer literacy skills is also key.
